Nîmes

Nîmes, French Rome, immediately evokes its important Roman heritage, with monuments such as the Arena, amphitheatre one of the best preserved of Roman Gaul, not to mention the Maison Carrée, the only temple of the ancient world fully preserved, and the Magne tower, whose summit offers a beautiful panorama of Nîmes and its surroundings. We extend the pleasure with the visit of the Castellum, basin which is in fact the arrival point of the aqueduct of Nîmes and which remains a very rare vestige.
A walk in the historic heart of Nîmes also allows you to borrow a maze of picturesque alleys and ochre facades. We discover monuments that also contribute to the influence of the city. These include Notre-Dame-et-Saint-Castor Cathedral, the Jesuit chapel and private mansions such as Boudon.
Nîmes has several museums to better understand its long history, including the Musée de la Romanité, which houses an exceptional collection that traces 25 centuries of history. An exciting place to be!
